Hey hey ! I interviewed her in my office and she told me about what she would do if she is elected...
First, the maids... We know Purple Kayo is very concerned by maids job and she thinks Meyonia had been often quite dirty lately, according to her because many maids had been enlisted in the army. Not everyone would agree as following MMWS (Meyonia Maids Work Scale) dirt level is almost always below 5% but she wants to fix that : strict schedule for the maids shifts and fines and punishments for the maids who wont fill their duties... No need to say that this proposal is very unpopular among maids even if Purple Kayo promised to raise the maids wages..
There are already rumors and even leaflets vowing fot the creation of a maids syndicate !
In economy, Purple Kayo desagrees with Heidi Bathori deep cuts proposals. She claims that internal growth, foreign trade and tourism increase are the keys to raise our economy.
No cut in the army budget... Had Purple Kayo also heard the rumors of military coup if army budget is cut off ? But General Kim Mizser assured this is totally untrue and MAF (Meyonia Armed Forces) always respect democracy...But no raising of MAF budget neither, it stays as now.
No money for health care neither, the patients would still have to be healed (well at least cared of) at the military campaign hospital... As we talk of health care, she criticizes President Puifan Ling massages program as a pointless electotral move. Well, electoral move certainly due the timing sooo close to the election but pointless... The massages are very popular and remember, i experimented it myself, mmmh !
In Meyonia North, Purple Kayo wants to build several little bungalows to develop ecologic tourism. She would allow (if there is enough room left) a small area for army training... Well, considering MAF currently uses the whole Northern island for training, not sure they would enjoy a small area left between the souvenirs shop and the sanitary facilities ! Wait and see and lets hope militaries realize how much tourists money is valuable for us...
Purple Kayo doesn't want at all to reduce the police power which is already huge. No chance she will give up the detention in the infamous secret cells - well only the location is secret, we all know they exist and that's better not get thrown in... Actually she wants even more severity from police and justice.
She also wishes the possibility of enslaving some convicts but only by President decret. Nevertheless such a measure is seen as against the Constitution and could be difficult to be accepted by the army and the security forces which claim to be the guarantors of the Constitution.
Purple Kayo agrees with religion freedom and wont forbid the Order of Holly Love but wont tolerate they decide about who has to be spanked. She is ready to arrest them if they don't obey.
Her ideal society would have a strong dominant class ruling over well educated and disciplined lower classes.
Purple Kayo claims her foreign policy will be quite more peaceful than the one of incumbent President Puifan Ling. We all remember the war with Vanilla, the high tensions with New Sark and Kuwar, the secret and guilty operations in Paradise City...
Nevertheless Purple wants to increase custom duties and taxes paid by New Sark. Well as these duties had already been increased in 2013 as part of the agreement which ended the border tensions, there is little chance that New Sark government accepts again an increase. Never mind, Purple Kayo is ready to go forward, saying she didn't even fear a possible British intervent in Falkland war style ! She relies on MAF strenght and Meyonia allies to face this threat.
If some nationalist including incumbent President Ling herself claim they are ready to fight General Miszer is reluctant to engage MAF against the British Army and considers that claiming a new increase is against the agrement signed by Meyonia in 2013.
Purple Kayo wants to improve the relationship with Kuwar Emirate and claims she is ready to meet the Emir. She nevertheless agrees with current government decision to break any commercial and political links with Kuwar because of the many public executions and the never ending civil rights violations.
Last but not least, and of deep concern of mine as you can imagine, Purple Kayo wants some media control, even if she announces it with many euphemisms like "collaboration" and promisses of "reward"... Our constitution grants press and speach freedom and Meyonia News will always be independent as ever !
Well, after this long interview we went across the streets to know what citizens think about... Opinions are divided, here are a few among many :
Sandra H., maid : "We maids work already so hard, we don't want more control and more punishments... We are ready to syndicate to defend our rights ! Power to the people !"
Tiffany D., police officer: "We need a strong leader, more police, more cells, more strength... Purple for President !"
